The specimen data stored in the Divisional database, PaleoCat, were assembled from a variety of legacy databases used in the four Paleontology collections. There was no uniform data standard and consequently information that is present for specimens in some collections may be lacking for other specimens. The Division is addressing these inconsistencies, but makes no warranty as to the completeness or the accuracy of the data and accepts no liability for any use made of these data.
